Cancellation Policy
48 Hours Notice
Cancellations within 48 hours incur a 50% session fee.
24 Hours Notice
Cancellations within 24 hours incur the full session fee.
Funding Options
Medicare
Rebate of $145.25 per session with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). Up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
Private Health Insurance
Rebates available depending on your extras policy. Invoice provided after each session.
NDIS
We accept self and plan-managed NDIS clients.
TAC
Mental health support following a transport accident. TAC covers $202.20 per session.
WorkCover (Victoria)
Support for work-related psychological injury. WorkCover covers $203.91 per session.

Rebates & Funding
Medicare
Medicare rebates are available for clients who have a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). You can obtain a MHCP from a GP or a Psychiatrist. The Medicare rebate for a Clinical Psychologist is $145.25. This means that you will be paying out of pocket between $114.75 to $154.75, depending on when your session is held as after hours and weekend appointments have a surcharge. Please note that Medicare will provide rebates for up to 10 sessions per calendar year (January through to December). When you visit your GP or Psychiatrist, have our practice name and address ready so your doctor can include these details in the referral.
Private Health Insurance
If you wish to claim rebates using your private health insurance, your invoice will be emailed to you or you can access them through your client portal. Note that private health insurance rebates would depend on your extras policy. Please check with your health fund if you are unsure of your cover.
NDIS
We accept self and plan-managed NDIS clients.
TAC
If you are experiencing mental health difficulties due to a transport accident, you may be eligible for funding by TAC. TAC covers $202.20 per session. Any remaining costs will be an out-of-pocket gap fee.
WorkCover (Victoria)
If you are experiencing a work-related psychological injury, you may be eligible for funding by WorkCover Victoria. WorkCover Victoria covers $203.91 per session. Any remaining costs will be an out-of-pocket gap fee. Please reach out to your GP or WorkCover representative to find out more information on how to initiate a referral process, then get in contact with us.
Cancellation Policy
Sometimes life happens and you may not be able to attend your appointment. Please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to cancel. We have a 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy — this allows other clients who may be waiting for an appointment to book in.
Within 48 Hours
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 48 hours will incur a 50% session fee.
Within 24 Hours
Appointments cancelled or rescheduled within 24 hours will incur the full session fee.
Please note that cancellation fees are not covered by Medicare or your NDIS funding.
How to Cancel or Reschedule
There are a few options: (1) Log in to your client portal and cancel or change your appointment there; (2) Send an email to hello@nestarapsychology.com; (3) Call or text us on +61 420 494 618.
Payments
It is a requirement to enter your card details into our secure online payment system when making a booking or completing your intake form before your first session.
Payment is due on the day of the appointment. You have several options:
Whether you are attending in person or via Telehealth, an invoice will be sent to you following your session. This invoice will include the different ways that you can pay (Credit or Debit Card, Bank Transfer or PayID).
If you do not want the hassle of payments at the end of your session, you can ask for payment to be processed by the practitioner via Credit/Debit Card using our secure online payment system, Zanda.
You are more than welcome to pay by cash if you would like, though we will not have change for you.
All card transactions have a 1.7% + $0.30 processing fee. To waive this fee, you can pay via Bank Transfer or PayID.
Medicare rebates will be processed for you at the end of session.
